MTIA Spring Conference

The 21st Annual MTIA (Medical Transcription Industry Association) Conference for medical transcription service owners and executives will be held in Daytona Beach, Florida on April 28 – May 1, 2010. The event will focus on education, learning, communication and networking where distinct, industry specific information and knowledge are shared so that all those in attendance may find additional success in the rapidly evolving field of healthcare documentation. 

Session topics to include: “Medical Transcription: A Key Technology Player in EHR Adoption and Achieving Meaningful Use”, “Human Intelligence: What Transcription Offers that EMRs Do Not”, “Running Your Business by the Numbers”, “EMRs & Transcription: Where Do They Intersect”, “Compliance in the Age of Health Care Reform” and much more.

Look for our experts at the conference. Thursday’s Innovation Briefings Sessions will be the Health Story Project, Dr. Nick van Terheyden is on the Executive Committee. On Friday afternoon Jim Tate will be presenting at the Industry Trends Session. The topic will be Medical Transcription: A Key Technology Player in EHR Adoption and Achieving Meaningful Use.

Also noted, registration is now open for Advocacy Summit 2010. The AHDI/MTIA 5th Annual Advocacy Summit will be held on March 23 – 25, 2010 in Arlington, VA / Washington, DC.
